How to order

Step ONE

Please provide details of your preferred location. What3Words is a great tool for pinpointing the exact location you require.

Step TWO

All TLK20 kilns will need a site survey.

Please provide a drawing of the yard with dimensions, and consider the yard space you will need to load and unload the kiln using a telehandler or forklift.

Please also consider the route to site for delivery. Are there any narrow lanes or bridges? The Kiln will be delivered by specialist container lorry with HIAB crane. Can the lorry stop within a few meters of the final site, or will we need to consider moving it into position with a 5 tonne telehandler / forklift?

Step THREE

For Solar Wood Kilns please consider the sky to the South of the kiln and the angle of the sun in winter. The angle at the Winter Solstice ranges from 16° in Cornwall, 14° in the Midlands, 12° in Northumberland and 9.5° in Aberdeenshire. Please also consider shading from trees in the summer. A member of our team can assist you with these calculations during a site visit.

Custom Build – TLKX-C-serial number 

The Lansdowne Wood Kiln process is ideal to be scaled up to any size. This type of wood kiln chamber can be installed into existing buildings or custom designed buildings and positioned on-site alongside waste heat generating plants. Water temperatures from 40°C upwards can be used. Typical applications include:

Domestic Waste Incineration plants

This thermodynamic process is uniquely engineered for utilizing low-level waste heat.*

  1. Boiler — water heated by incinerated domestic household waste
  2. Turbine + Generator — electricity to power homes
  3. Condenser — water MUST be returned to the liquid state before it is returned to the boiler, releasing waste heat
  4. Lansdowne Wood Kiln — utilising the waste heat to dry timber for construction or firewood

Datacentre water cooling 

The Lansdowne Wood Kiln thermodynamic process is ideal for utilising the cooling water from a datacentre. Lansdowne Wood Kilns can be added into the flow from the cooling matrix either directly or via a heat pump cooling system.
